Sunday, Monday, and today I have been resting to recuperate from my medical procedure. Each day the pain and discomfort lessens. I am not nearly ready to go back to work, though. I will need some more time, perhaps until Monday morning. I set up an appointment with my doctor for Monday afternoon. Today I found myself a bit weary, but otherwise improving.

That's good advice, I think. I decided to give myself the time the doctor suggested in which to heal.

I'm pleased to hear you're recovering from all that--which I hadn't read about until just minutes ago. Although I don't have surgery every year, I still get anesthesia for annual colonoscopies, so that part sounded very familiar. Good luck to you and your body!

Thanks very much. I had had some anesthesis for colonoscopies and other similar procedures, but I don't recall ever having gone this far "under" before.

Every day seems to go a bit better than the last, though it's been pretty incremental rather than suddenly feeling brand new. I've been pleased with how well it has gone, and yet I'm ready to feel like I felt before the procedure.

So glad to hear you are recovering. "slow and steady wins the race."

I sure hope that slow and steady wins the race, because I am in optimistic tortoise mode today.

Take care and give yourself time to heal...

I am going to take it slow and take care, at least until I feel good again.

I appreciate it! the progress is incremental, but consistent, and I am glad to be getting better, even at a measured pace.

Although I chafe a bit, because it has been an impact, I'm amazed, too, to be able to feel a bit better this quickly.

recovery mode.

nevermind not being the strongest. it really is observation of progress or notification of becoming stronger.

now is the time to watch your favorite trilogy.

any rate, a negative man once said "happiness is the feeling that one's power is growing." grow a centimeter. pure happiness.

I like that 'grow a centimeter'.

it's been fun to make incremental progress, to have a literal feeling of the narrative slightly shifting, like raising a bean plant after planting it in a styrofoam cup.
