3 very interesting things in the mail today...

the Forrest Fang CD, Gongland, for which I've been waiting with bated breath

a postcardx letter from some nameless person writing from a po box in kansas, sending me a bundle of cool stuff, quotes, pix, random neatness, and

a fulfillment of a book exchange from [profile] nacowafer which
is simply delightful, worthy of praise beyond my limited skills, though for the life of me I wish I had made a book one/one thousandth as nice as the one I got in exchange....so perhaps my "art", not surprisingly, does have "judgment" after all....but like a good Vulcan, I'll pretend I've evolved beyond it....

I mailed payment off for the pivotal third electric football field today. That project will be done by the end of July, I'm guessing.
I have so many postcards to decorate for postcardx.
Also, I need to make some gift boxes to reciprocate for a few things I've gotten. I have a good eye for the absurd and fun, which is my constant comfort, so this gift business may be fun.

Gloriously cool day today, after last night's rains. Book up on ebay again, work quite busy, company bidded a fond goodbye, and all's now right with the world.

I am so pleased and touched by this little book which [profile] nacowafer made. I am hesitant to say how much I like it, because words are always so inadequate. I do see what you mean that it must be a lot of work to make books like this. Although this book almost converts me to the "real" bookmaking cause, it perhaps
will instead resign me to saddle stitching or whatever it is you call those little booklets with the 2 staples on the side.
I'm glad you're having such fun with yours, but keep it safe...get Joe Wall to build it a frame if you must (grin).

I might get the 4-track gear back as soon as this Sunday.
After that, you just need to tell me when you want get
together and make some ambience.

a Prince of light

I think you are a prince of light, except that
I'm worried that the princes of light may have been those "uber angels" that got chunked out of heaven after they got involved with the sons and daughters of men and now I'll have to dig up my Bible and check this out....

Your weekends are always much more event filled than mine. I will have my fields in 2 weeks or so, and then we'll find a time.

On another note, if I send you my new goodwill dubbing unit, could you re-tape the SME as we discussed? I have the burning part all solved, but I want to spare my saintly sibling the hassle of editing. Then we'll use one of those two services, and be on board.

At the time I was laid off, I had had piled up
several award certificates redeemable for
valuable prizes (Perhaps this entry is more
appropriate for your green stamps discourse
of a few days ago, no?). Anyway, I just found
them and counted them up and found that I have
enough for a dual casette deck plus a dual CD
recording deck. So how's about a couple of
dubs-- one with just originals, one with originals
plus covers-- straight from my two-track master
to CD?

And to address your other question:
Lucifer - literally "Light bringer",
aka Prince of the Air

But that's cool-- it's not like you called me
a Republican or anything.

You need a really good tux to be Lucifer

The LDS folks are easier. I mean "Sons of Perdition" is easier to wrap your mind around than "Prince of the Air".

This is great! You got dub! Yes, bring on
one tape each way, and we'll get my sibling to
make CDs each way, using the all your copyrighted material for the project, and
using the covers stuff to burn a few CDs for posterity.

Let me know when you can get me the tapes.
Use the usual private shuttle service.

read this first

I just re read.

Are you saying you can now dub to CD with your new unit?

Wow!

If so, we can move to get the graphics down and the like.

Wow!
