I saw a poll that I filled out
I thought it would be fun.
The poll said I was Britney Spears
and oops, I came undone.

I don't mind that I'm usually Bjork
I like the way she smiles.
I dread those 60s rocker polls
I'm Who for miles and miles and miles.

Now folks all tell your LJ friends
not to do what I have done.
Avoid those polls about pop-top girls,
'cause the answer may be you're one.

and to the tune of "Amazing Grace":

When we've been here 10,000 years,
Our weblogs say a ton,
We've no less space to rant and rave
than when we first begun.

Oh, yes! I had just seen Return of the King, and wished that the movie had not omitted portions of the book I liked. Thus, I named my mood after a section of the book.

I have a cd with Andy Griffith singing House of the Rising Sun.

It really has to be heard to be believed.

The same cd also has:

Mae West singing "Twist and Shout"
Joel Grey crooning "A Whiter Shade of Pale"
and the piece de resistance, Jack Webb intoning "Try A Little Tenderness", which is a great way to clear the house at parties.

I love the House of the Rising Sun tune, and the song is one of the few songs i remember learning as i grew up. In total, there was one Joan Baez album, a Kingston trio album, one (early) Beetles "best of" record, and plenty of Johnny Cash that i remember being played and that i would play over and over. And Presbyterian hymns. *yawn*

Thus, i began my life under a rock.....
