I'm home at last, with the sounds of katydids outside, returned from the land of 106 degree days and monsoon rains. I've been reading all the many interesting friends' list items, to which I will have to return to post many comments.

I'm taking this weekend mostly off. This will be my first weekend mostly off in weeks. I'm excited.

Welcome home! Leisure time is priceless. I enjoyed reading about your Dad, the country doctor. My Dad is 83, still doing surgery in the morning, office hours in the afternoon, serving as Coroner. Still goes to every fatality scene, still treats inmates at local prison once per week.

BTW, I'm not sure if Hwy 412 (from Tulsa to Flippin) is officially in the Ozarks, but if so. I'm impressed. Not tall, but very, very pretty.

We spent saturday at a small fishing lodge on a curve of the White River, about 2-curves from the Bull Shoals dam. Beautiful.
