The news from the Ukraine invasion remains a serious concern. The invasion is very upsetting.

The week rolled into the weekend. This morning the weather looked a bit overcast. But by mid-afternoon, the weather turned grand. I walked in Green Park, in Bethany Lakes Park and in Story Park. I got some nice photos of White-Throated Sparrows in Green Park. As I began my walk in Story Park, I used my phone to check in on line for a haircut at a chain place. The price for the haircut was close to what it should be, rather than too low. I asked the haircut professional to use the number 3 shears to get a solid short cut. She did a good job.

I watched some endgame training videos on chess.com hosted by Hungarian International Master Anna Rudolf. That helped me brush up on my king and pawn endgames. I began a somewhat more complex series by Alex Yermolinski about rook endgames.

We took Sparrow for a walk. He was wearing a new, larger harness and color. He was 19 pounds when we got him, but he is 29 pounds now.

We ate at Napoli's tonight, where the tilapia with vegetables is pretty good.

Several Russian chess players have spoken out against the Ukraine invasion.  Some of those players earn their living from streaming video. But now US payments to Russian streamers has been halted.  All these intricacies that arise in times of trouble.  I feel worried about the people in the Ukraine.
