wok, warning, turtle
Apr. 7th, 2013 09:10 pmWe had a nice visit this morning with my father and his wife. Then we hit the road back to Texas. During the drive we saw two Cooper's hawk in full Spring color fly by, one in Arkansas and later one in Texas. We stopped for lunch at Thai Lanna in Mount Pleasant, which uses its wok with a light, grease-free touch. I was stopped at one point by a Texas Ranger, who gave me a warning for not changing lanes to the far lane when he had stopped someone else. I was glad to get only a warning. I hate breaking traffic rules and I hate getting pulled over.
I took Beatrice for a walk this afternoon, where the sky threatened rain but did not deliver.
I like the little red-eared slider turtle that was on a branch in little Glendover Pond.

We ate sandwiches for dinner and settled in to watch television. A night of the American Country Music awards makes me think how bland much modern country music can be, and think how vibrant it should be instead.
