collision center
May. 1st, 2010 12:12 amI woke up early this morning to take my car to Caliber Collision Center, so that I could get repairs for the rear-end collision I sustained in March. The GEICO representative proved courteous and efficient. The representative advised me that his company would pick up the repairs and my rental car. I drive a Hyundai Sonata, and they rented me a new Hyundai Sonata, so it was deja vu all over again. They called in the afternoon to advise that the work was more extensive than a mere dented back bumper, and that repairs will continue until Wednesday.

I listened to lute music on the car CD player. We went to the local pizza place where I ate cheese pizza.
We watched the very fine film "Good Hair", which we enjoyed very much. We made plans for Saturday involving wildflowers and a dinner event for a charity which gives poor kids books. I ate a roast beef sandwich with provolone cheese for lunch. I combed the books at the 75 percent off bookstore on the way home from work.
I am very concerned for the people and wildlife of coastal Louisiana, south Alabama and coastal Mississippi in light of the huge oil slick caused by an oil rig explosion. I read about a 19th Century poet, and about an interesting 21st Century poet with the same surname. I am glad tomorrow is Saturday.
