Finding home
May. 8th, 2003 06:08 amWhen I'm among trees, I feel very much at home. I suppose growing up in a mill town in the middle of a pine forest imprinted me with some sense of trees. That's why Michigan seems familiar to me, somehow. But if they pre-empt Buffy for Detroit basketball games every season, it's not my kind of town.

Date: 2003-05-09 09:09 pm (UTC)my wife is in the hospital today.
she has been having heart palpitations, but
she should be home tomorrow. her new
cardiologist wants her to have a nuclear stress
test, just to be sure her heart is ok. apparently,
many peope have pre-ventricular-contractions
(pvc's) and don't notice them. hers, however,
are noticeable to her , or symptomatic, as they
say. they don't seem to think she had a heart
attack, so that's good. more later as it developes

Date: 2003-05-08 02:47 am (UTC)Talking about trees, you'll have to pay a visit to some little towns south of Perth. There are beautiful ancient trees, which are large enough to encompass many cars. I believe they're called "tingle trees". Although I visited the trees as a child, I want to make the visit again as an adult. More appreciation ;)
