Last night our nation began a military action against Iraq with an aerial bombardment. I have no words of wisdom today. I hope this war ends very soon, with as little loss of life as possible.
I'm appalled that it's happening, and that so many people seem totally accepting of it, too. And that a lot people aren't even blinking at the notion that we want to replace that nation's government with one more friendly to us. All of it--appalling.
I am appalled at our government's failed diplomacy. Now that kids are in the field, though, I'm I mostly worry about our troops, and the lives of all concerned generally.
