Whitefish and Sharks
Dec. 19th, 2021 06:54 pmFriday night I packed the couple of Christmas gifts I got from co-workers into my car. I must have forgotten to take them into the house Friday night. Saturday morning I went to WW at the Sheraton in McKinney. Later this weekend I realized that I must have left the doors unlocked, as the couple of presents were gone. I feel abashed about this, as I usually am careful about such things. Also, I hate the idea of someone spending time choosing something, and then me not taking care of the gift. Also, though I am not that worried about gifts one way or another, I like the opening and un-ribboning of gifts. My lack of care reduced my chances of enjoying that sensation.
Saturday night we went to Cafe Istanbul with our friends Scott and Donna. I had the grilled whole whitefish (Branzino). My meal was great.
We enjoyed visiting with our friends. Then we all went to Cinemark at Legacy to see the Steven Spielberg's film of "West Side Story." I thought the subject material would seem so dated that the film would be a challenge. But I thought the script and the direction and choreography was stellar. I enjoyed the film.
Today I got a good bit of Christmas shopping done. I have some good bit yet to do, but I feel on top of the situation.
Tonight I walked in Russell Creek Park in Plano. I saw lots of birds, My wife called me to tell me that back at home, in our backyard, a Cooper's Hawk had caught a small bird as prey. She got some cell phone photos, which were interesting. We ate Pollo bowls from El Pollo Loco for diner.
