Mr. Travis' Farm

Monday I put in a solid day's work.  At lunch, I walked in Travis Farm Park in Murphy. This small park may be the one closest to my office. I saw a Youtube video about how the park is in a residential neighborhood built on Mr. Travis' farm. In the video, his daughters talk about how proud he would be that his land turned into a nice neighborhood. The park used to be adjacent to an empty field, where sometimes a coyote would walk or a hawk would hunt. Now that field is also a nice housing development. But the empty field and playground which is Travis Farm Park endures. Fifteen Barn Swallows perched on a wire. 

In the evening we ate salmon.  I walked in our neighborhood in Glendover Park. A Green Heron crouched in a tree.
