clear blue kite day

Today the temperature is around 70, and the sky is sky-blue. The wind is whipping the banners and balloons at the tract home builders' sites. I think I'm going to get a cheap kite out of my garage, and see if I can't get my kite high and my mood stratospheric. I love November in Texas.

I haven't flown a kite in years! I would love to try my hand at those stunt kites.

Stunt kites do look fun, but even a simple delta or old-fashioned kite can be great fun!

I love the kite where you can just get it up in the sky, and watch it floating there above you.

There's a boddhisattva, whose name I always forget -- but he vowed to fly above the world until all achieved enlightenment. I always think kite flying is an honor to him.
