at 40,000, with faith
Nov. 9th, 2002 04:19 pmI considered genuflecting at the altar of pause and reflection,
those twin godlings of quality and serenity;
I considered the scripture of plot outlines, the incense of ideas, and
worshipping in the temple of Art instead of merely typing.
Then I sat at my computer, and began to type, and
I felt quantity, like a great Comforter come upon me, and
I looked at it, and it was bad, and that was good;
may I dwell in the House of the Long-winded for 10,000 more words.

So I noticed, awhile back, that you said, "I want to one day write and publish a novel."
How often this is said. How often it is said.
And how seldom it is "made so."
With the "amen" factor, that is.
I noticed, shortly after you spoke this 'dream,' that you had set about to make it come true.
YOU made your very own dream come true.
As only the one who dreams, can do.
I am glad to bear witness to your journey.
One day, I would love to read this 50k.
Will you sell copies online?
Do we form a line? :)

Date: 2002-11-09 09:42 pm (UTC)Do you think we can measure our dreams, one against another?
For the fact they exist, silly or grave, creates change ... creates a new way of looking at life ...
... dreams just, simply, "Create."
Fact.
:)
Yes?
