Giant lily pads
Nov. 9th, 2002 08:33 amI read in that anecdote book on botany I bought about giant lily pads in South America, so large that babies can rest on their leaves. I'd rather be someplace I've never been watching lily pads than working again today.

On TV there was an advert for cigars. The setting was deep in a South American rainforest. The camera panned down from the tree tops to a stunning tanned, dark haired, green-eyed woman, sitting next to a pile of tobacco leaves, and rolling them into a cigar on her thighs . The girls voice sounded post coital, to say the least.
The marketing men scored a direct hit. I ended up smoking cigars occasionally for about a year.
