quiet man and peppermint

I got a lot of work done today. At lunch, I saw a Loggerhead Shrike and a Lark Sparrow at Heritage Park.

Tonight I got Peppermint stickers in the mail from Peppermint OS. I'll festoon them on my laptop and my car window.

"The Quiet Man" is playing on the television, which gives me a warm, family, Christmas-movie feeling.

Oh, The Quiet Man. One of my all-times. It might have been my introduction to 'things Irish', of which I'm deeply fond of to this day.

Considering how many times I have seen "The Quiet Man", I was surprised by how much I still enjoyed it. It's such a fun Maureen O'Hara performance, and it's a good way for John Wayne to have both changed pace and still play a John Wayne character.

Peppermint is a Linux operating system, an alternative to Windows or OSX. It's what I run on my main laptop and my main desktop. It's easy, fun and free.
