I threw Beatrice's simian toy called The Funky Monkey until Beatrice finally tired of the game, some 20 throws into it. She is a good "toy dog", who will chase and to a greater or lesser extent fetch things she likes.

Today I had a moment of mental snowblindness and wished my brother a happy birthday exactly one month too soon.

Tonight we went to San Miguel Grill, where I dined on tacos mixteca and gave my wife my helping of guacamole. I am glad my wife returned from a quick trip to Arkansas.

I think friends and family love to be remembered -- and early seems a delightful surprise. What with all the software keeping track of when birthdays are, being remembered by a fallible human seems even more meaningful!

Pepper's favorite toy is called foxy....... no matter what she is doing the phrase 'find foxy' will send her off sniffing around the house/garden until she finds it.

We have lots of toys, but her favorite is the ball, a tennis-similar ball, followed in order by the rabbit, the Funky Monkey and a rather buttoned-down bear who bears the unlikely monicker "Martha Stewart"
