I stopped by Breckinridge Park in Richardson after work on Thursday evening. A flock of male scissortail flycatchers was there. I took photos of some of them in a tree, and then watched them do an aerial display as they caught bugs. They were migratory, as our local ones have already headed south.We watched the new TV show "Elementary" last night and enjoyed it . I am reading a book about Texas wildflowers illustrated with hundreds of pictures and prefaced by an introduction written by Lady Bird Johnson. I must complete more continuing legal education to meet a requirement in the coming days.

Wow, that book about Texas wildflowers, illustrated with hundreds of pictures and prefaced by Lady Bird sounds wonderful. I was standing at the Texas Booth in the Pavilion of States at the National Book Festival last Saturday and they were giving out little brochures about your wildflowers. I smiled and remembered happy days in Texas and wished I could go again to the Hill Country one fine spring day.

The Hill Country is grand for flowers, though the book makes me want to visit the west Texas trans-Peco area.

The book is by the Loughmillers and is available in an affordable paperback.I think I have a first edition,
bought for 25 cents or so, so I may need to sell it and buy the paperback myself :)
