walks on Sunday

Today I took Beatrice for an early morning walk. She enjoyed the pleasant weather, as last night's rain meant that the morning was fairly cool for July. I saw a green heron flying, and got presentable pictures of a mockingbird and of a western kingbird. Here's the mockingbird:



I had pizza by the slice for lunch. In the afternoon, I walked at Towne Lake Park in McKinney. I saw lots of eastern bluebirds and an eastern kingbird, which looks completely different from a western kingbird.
I also got a good long look at this fellow:



Later, I took pictures of Beatrice. I am starting to improve on getting her picture, though black dogs are more difficult to photograph.

We ate sandwiches for dinner. I am thinking about east Texas. Next week should be interesting.
