Today I went to the post office nearest my office just prior to going to work. Despite the Christmas vicinity of the day, I only had to wait in line behind one person. I mailed a letter overseas, and then asked about buying some holiday stamps. Unfortunately, all the post office had was simple flag and similarly patriotic stamps. They still look nice, though, and will make the envelopes very American.

We decorated our Christmas tree tonight, while my favorite Christmas movie, "The Miracle on 34th Street", played on our television. Sometimes I tear up a bit when the little Dutch girl sings, but not this time.
Some day I'd like to decorate the tree with just strings of popcorn, but not this year.

I've nearly finished addressing and sending out all my work holiday cards, but my personal holiday cards are still a work in progress. I heard back from one doctor's office that my potassium is back to normal in light of my new medication. The other doctor's office did not yet have the results of my other blood work, though, that will give us some clues about what needs to be done next. Perhaps tomorrow or Monday will tell the tale.

I made my Christmas list. I thought about hand-drawn animation. I woke pre-dawn and read my sci=fi on my e-reader. The rain came down today in steady, misty wonderfulness. I thought about our late dog Scout. She was a great dog. She's in my memory tonight--and forever.
