My favorite afternoon was in the West Side Pavilion in Los Angeles, when one teen said to another "there's nothing to do in LA". :)
There is so much here--and the challenge is to find it all. This afternoon, I went to a free vocal concert at the Dallas Public Library. A simply amazing singer, great new contemporary/classical songs, and entirely free. Really a blast, but who knew?
