You have a gift for capturing images of the moment. It's not that you're a great photographer, alone, but that you have an eye which is somehow "photographic"--you seek to frame the scene of things, you see the images before you.

You start from a place which perhaps involves less self-confidence than many have, which I can always relate to because in many ways I also start from just such a place.
You don't let that place keep you from pursuing your dreams and creativity. I am so impressed that you embarked on your exciting new venture, and my high and yet fulfillable hope is that you're able to take this path and earn your living this way for life.

Your self-portraits in your 365 thing have been very effective, and you do have a real gift for photographing children.

I don't worry about "will she make real money doing this?" or "will she sometimes have to take a 'day job'", because, almost like a gifted writer of literary fiction, I see you as being a photographer, and the day jobs or economic compromises that may come along are just the equivalent of waitressing until the big breaks come along.

I imagine you teaching others photography, in extension classes at the local community college. I imagine you building a stock collection and licensing shots. I see you in the long run having all this potential and a strong chance of success.

Yet you're more than the pictures you snap. I like that you're on a rather purposeful voyage of self-discovery, and that this involves becoming very self-aware. When I see you living in doubt or worry, I always feel badly. I know that such things are a part of life, and that people just go through what they go through. Yet, I think that sometimes you sell yourself short to yourself, and you don't see how cool you are.

I like that your journal is always clear, and usually filled with gorgeous pictures. I like when you puzzle through the marketing-pricing-economic model aspect of your business, because small business start-ups interest me.

I like that if I had a crystal ball, I'd predict that your time of great personal happiness is just ahead, and it will be fun to read as it unfolds.
