For me, The Bedford Boys puts it all together: the momentous invasion, brave soldiers, ordinary people, who did all they could. I am sure you know the story. Twenty-two brave boys/men from the small community of Bedford, Virginia, population three thousand, who died on that fateful day or shortly thereafter. i should have gone to Bedford while I lived in Virginia. Maybe I will go back.
