I got a lot of things done today at work today. I mean to get more things done tomorrow.

At lunch I walked in Heritage Park in Sachse. Overhead I saw a raptor flying which was definitely a hawk rather than a vulture, but who had wing coloration vaguely like a Turkey Vulture. Using the Cornell birding website, I worked out that I had seen a Zone-Tailed Hawk. But when I posted it on Facebook's "What''s this bird?" group, one responder said "Dark Morph Ferruginous Hawk" and one said "Harlan's Hawk Dark Morph." I think now it is an immature Harlan's Hawk, but the jury is still a little out for me.

My sister pitched in on a family matter this week. I am grateful.
