Neon Skimmer and an Unwanted Nap
Jun. 7th, 2020 06:17 amI started Saturday at the post office, mailing something my sister requested. The two big boxes at the post office drive-in section was now one large box.
Then I drove to Plano's A.R. Schell Park. I walked the little Santa Fe sidewalk trail there. As I walked in a residential neighbohood, a yearling German Shepherd dog came running out of her house. She ran over and greeted me, jumping up on me a bit. Her owner apologized, but I liked the dog, whose name was Rae.
I worked from early morning into the early afternoon. Afterward I walked in Crowley Park in Richardson. The temperature was very hot. I saw Neon Skimmer dragonfly.
I ate lunch of fish from Chicken Express.
At 2 p.m., I fell asleep. I did not wake until 5. That was not my plan. I dislike sleeping on a Saturday afternoon. But I needed the sleep.
I gave a few pounds to the Shropshire Discovery Centre in light of a man's doing a marathon run to raise funds.
In the evening, we walked 2 miles on the Cottonwood Creek Trail, starting from the Cinemark Allen. We went on a section through a wooded areat that we had not walked before. We saw an energetic pair of American Kestrels.
