memorial service
Jun. 2nd, 2016 08:23 amThe memorial service for my father-in-law went well. My wife did a great job on her bit of eulogy. The flow from preparation to service to reception to a gathering for dinner to a smaller gathering of family felt natural. I think my late father-in-law would have approved.
In a bit over an hour, the car comes to take us back to the airport. We return to our non-funeral world, I sit here typing across from the empty chair where my wife's father used to sit. I have processed the loss, and am still processing the loss, and have not processed the loss.
