The Garland free legal advice thing tonight had only a few volunteer attorneys, so it lasted until 9.15 p.m. When I got home, I hit the North Texas Giving site. This annual event offers a convenient search engine to find local charities and a one-stop way that one can shopping-cart donations to several charities and make one payment. I found the site really user-friendly this year. I hope that I did not omit anyone I meant to include.

The weather is still warm, but no longer as hot. We could use a bit more rain. I plan to check out the Dallas Makerspace Saturday. Every day I see migrating blackbirds of one type or another. The swallows and martins have largely disappeared. The day will come when the Winter Sparrows and the Yellow-Rumped Warblers arrive from northern regions.

A married couple who host a podcast to which I sporadically listened had an episode to announce their divorce the other day. Though they handled the show admirably, it made me a little sad. Lake Ray Roberts State Park re-opened after being shut down by May rains.I have a hankering to go visit it soon. I watched a sports team make an egregious error and lose a game. That is part of life, I suppose.
