I went at 7:30 a.m. to the Heard Museum and Natural Science Center. The Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society hosted its Second Saturday monthly bird walk. Roughly twenty-five people went on the walk. The day proved dark and overcast, but the hint of rain did not materialize.

The walk proved very productive. I saw 29 species, and heard a few more species. The most notable sighting was Hooded Mergansers, which I rarely, if ever, see in Texas.
I also liked the Sharp-Shinned Hawk with its slight build and long tail feathers flying overhead. The Great Blue Herons were already at their rookery. I did not get any very good pictures, but my mind's eye snapped lots of memories.

After the walk I drove to Dickey's BBQ. I had the chicken plate. I like to mix my own sauce rather than have Dickey's slather it on. I go for light application of a mix of hot sauce and sweet sauce.

I found myself quite tired during the afternoon, but I did manage to take Beatrice for a walk, and to clean some items from my car. I also watched a little bit of a basketball contest on television between my alma mater and a competing institution from the State of Georgia.

This evening I drove to Market Street, where I procured two slices of cheese pizza and a soft drink. Then I got a non-fat frozen yogurt at Yogurtville. Tonight I am researching possible Summer vacations. Soon I will turn in to read and sleep.
