The local Friday newspaper features a little entertainment section in magazine format. Each week, the weekly entertainment section reviews more movies than I will ever see.
I read about lots of my favorite kinds of films--small, plotted stories which get in, get it done, and get out again. I never remember their titles after I read the reviews. I should take notes for easy rental in the coming months.

I'm listening to the Linux Action Show right now, which is reviewing Ubuntu 14.04. I do not use this operating system, though on my laptop I have Peppermint, a downstream related spin. Ubuntu is divisive for some people, because its owner, Canonical, does things that do not fit ideally with open source ideas. But I am okay with Ubuntu. It's an easy way to run desktop Linux, though I like the downstream variants better, like Peppermint, Lubuntu, and Watt O/S.

I awoke this morning at 4 a.m.,and it seemed natural to just get up. Last night I began a Michael Arlen novel. I breakfasted on raisin bran. Someone I don't know tried to message me on facebook. I see that person just friended a facebook friend,so it's probably spambot territory. I will take my little dog to the vet for an ear infection on Saturday. I think I may go to the Texas Linux Fest in June.
