osprey fly-by
Oct. 3rd, 2013 09:45 pmTuesday afternoon I flew to Los Angeles. On the way to the airport, I stopped at a new
roll and teryaki place for a bento box. I landed late in the afternoon. I drove to Hermosa Beach Pier and took pictures of shorebirds dashing in the ocean shallows.
Wednesday I attended to business all day. Wednesday night I flew home.I read part of a novel, "Kept in the Dark" by Anthony Trollope that I had downloaded from gutenberg.org. I like the calibre e-reader program for this type of thing.
.
On Thursday morning I hoped it would rain, but the clouds dissipated. Thursday noon I bought a linux magazine and ate a sandwich. Thursday evening I took pictures of a tree full of scissor-tailed flycatchers at Springfield Park in Rowlett. I also saw a migrating osprey at
Rowlett Creek Park in Garland.
Tonight I went to the Garland Bar Association and learned a lot about family law. I almost never do family law, because in those cases sometimes people cry.
