Sunday I spent the day exhausted. I went to the 9.30 church service, where the sermon topic pleased me--the ubiquity of doubt. The handbell choir rang a good set of bells. The AM radio garden show told the man who wanted to transplant japonica camellias the sad truth that Dallas is just 40 miles or so too far west for that plan to work.

At noon I saw down at my computer to watch a live vidcast. I watch the Linux Action Show on Youtube. I thought it would be fun to watch the live taping. I spent from noon to 2 p.m. watching a taping. I was amazed at how many folks were in the chat room. The show took roughly 2 hours to tape a 1 hour show. I do not know if I will repeat that experience, but it was fun to watch. The review was of Ubuntu, a distro which wants badly to be mainstream and which therefore draws the ire of purists.

I went mid-afternoon to Subway Sandwich shop where I consumed a simple ham sandwich. I then went to Limestone Quarry Park in Frisco. It was my first visit. This little suburban park links up with a paved cycling trail. I stood and took pictures of western kingbirds, and of a red-bellied woodpecker. This was my first western kingbird sighting of the Spring.

I had meant to make music on Sunday, but I found myself too tired. I fell asleep at 9.30 p.m. and slept more or less all night, until our dog woke me at 5 a.m.

Monday I worked a solid day, and then headed home. We dined on turkey and steamed vegetables I acquired for us at Boston Market. I watched Market Warriors, the TV show in which buyers try to buy at flea markets and then sell in an auction house. I like all four buyers, but in particular the South Carolina buyer Miller Gaffney. She has a great lilt in her accent and yet reminds me of people I knew in high school. Later, I tried to catch up on an episode of Game of Thrones (Season 3, episode 2) but turned it off at minute 48 of 60 as too violent and disheartening. I like my drama less violent and dark.
