on questions and swallowtails
Apr. 4th, 2013 09:24 pmFirst thing in the morning and after work this evening I watched the documentary "This Way of Life" on Hulu.com. This New Zealand documentary about a family embracing a "simple" life
inspired in me all kinds of warm feelings and questions. The inveterate lawyer in me would also like to have heard both sides of a couple of stories. Nothing is more fascinating than people who can live without affectation with their hearts on their sleeves.
At noon I saw three male scissortail flycatchers. It was a very chilly day, so I wonder if they thought longingly of warmer perches in South America.
I spoke to my sister by telephone today. My brother used me as the guinea pig to try out live-streaming a google+ hangout on Youtube. I am glad that I am very fond of both my siblings, and they are fond of me.
We watched "The Americans" last night. This very dark show turned darker. If lowest-common-darkometer is its destination, it will leave me behind, lost in the dark.
