first scissortail

Today at lunch I was driving through the park, when I saw the two kestrels perched in a single tree. I tried to get their pictures, though the hazy conditions made the pictures less than sharp. Then on a nearby wire I saw a scissortail flycatcher nearby--the first of the year. He stood perched on a bit of wire. I was able to snap his photo several times.



Tonight we went to see the movie "Silver Linings Playbook", which was neither too hot nor too cold,but instead just right.

I also finished watching the 1996 movie "My Knees were Jumping", about the kindertransport. The tragic story moved me. The movie is available at hulu.com for viewing for free.

Tonight I am reading about Hawaii and thinking about the onset of Spring.
