rainy, chilly, and working
Mar. 11th, 2012 10:57 amLast week proved particularly busy at work. Monday evening I went to Weight Watchers, to find that the amount of weight I have lost is up to 41 pounds since I returned to Weight Watchers last Spring. Thursday evening I drove to Austin for a work matter, as the formerly warm weather turned chilly and rainy. The Courtyard by Marriott was filled with folks in town for the music festival SXSW. After my business concluded on Friday,
I drove back home, arriving home very late. My wife went to Tucson to see her father and his wife, but a couple of different matters (coupled with a difficult travel schedule) caused me to remain behind.
Saturday I awoke reasonably early and headed into the office. I had a satisfying day, working until the mid-afternoon. I stopped off at a Market Street grocery on the way home. The little food court there offered me a fine turkey pot roast. I arrived home on a chilly, rainy afternoon. The dogs and I spent the evening together. I fell asleep very early, taxed from the driving the evening before. Thus, I 'sprang forward' without loss of sleep when the time changed this morning. I did watch the Anne Hathaway "One Fine Day", which I enjoyed once it got going.
I am sorry to have missed our annual trip to Tucson, which I always enjoy, but I am glad to rest and to get work done.
