Thursday night two of the Dallas County state district judges spoke to the Garland Bar Association. I enjoyed hearing their insights about developments in the court system. On my drive home, around 9 p.m., as I drove up Alma by the CVS just north of Exchange, a coyote crossed Alma Road starting from just behind CVS. He looked hale and hearty. I thought about how southern California coyotes often look stringy and leathery-tough.

a week from today. A friend and I exchanged facebook messages about meeting halfway between his north Arkansas home and our north Texas home, which equates to roughly Oklahoma.
