Everyone struggles a bit more with a bit more now. People face serious illness, job loss, investment disaster, and various losses of faith.

Yet I notice that in lots of crucial little ways, people make differences in other peoples' lives. People leave behind the old mousetraps, and work within the framework of better mousetraps. Faith, hope, love and odd felines with poor grammar endure.

If we end up with a world with a little more concern for others, and a little less needless aggravation, I'll consider that a modest beginning of the right kind of change.
