I spent a productive morning with the software synthesizer, creating minimal musical pieces. I used a sample I created by striking a wooden mallet against a small piece of Orrefors crystal. Orrefors comes from Sweden, where it is made on a lovely lake. My wife has a lot of forbears from Sweden, which may explain why someone bought this small crystal. It makes a useful sample source. I love the sound of a repeated gentle melody.

I completed three pieces. I intend to do seven, and name them after the seven virtues: faith, hope, charity, fortitude, justice, prudence and temperance. Then I'll either ask a netlabel if it might be interested in releasing them, or post them myself on Jamendo or at the Internet Archive (or at our own netlabel, NSI).

The weather is amazing! It is to exceed 70 degrees today. I would finish four more songs, but I wish to hike the woods at Bonham Stare Park, binoculars in hand, seeking out sights.
