Dec. 9th, 2008

Last night the tornado sirens went off around 11:30 p.m. We dutifully went into our interior closet, and listened to the news. A spotter had seen this thing called a "wall cloud" a goodish number of blocks from us. A wall cloud is apparently a cousin to a tornado. The thunderstorm that had been moving in from the west for hours finally had arrived.

After half an uneventful hour, the news reported that the storm had moved northeast to Princeton. In my opinion, December is a bit late to lose sleep to the possibility of a tornado
