I'm glad to be back in town after this week's brief road trip. Last night the clouds rolled dark and foreboding, but little rain resulted. We walked the dogs around the pond, startling a couple of mallards. Beatrice spent her evening hunting for critters in our postage-stamp backyard, in which shrubbery gives her scope for imagination.
