73 and bethany
Jul. 16th, 2006 10:39 pmI took today very easily, as I recovered from the travel and stress of the week. I attended my Weight Watchers meeting, at which I discovered I lost weight, bringing my total to 73 pounds since I began in May 2005. I was very pleased that I was able to maintain discipline while on a business trip, even if it was a discipline of pho and sushi.
I stopped in Barnes & Noble to pick up computer music magazines to carry on this week's road trip.
The handsome, somewhat "hip", man behind the counter asked me if I owned a recording studio. I told him that I did not, but instead that I merely recorded ambient music into my home computer. "I envy you", he said. I suppose I should have asked him "are you in a band?", but I instead merely told him that he could do what I do with inexpensive software and freeware. I should have asked him "are you in a band", instead, after all.
This evening I went to Bethany Lakes Park, and here is what I saw:
