Today on the way to work Texas bluebonnet flowers were abundant on the sides of the roadways. For some reason, this is really an exemplary wildflower year. I saw a little American kestrel outside the window of our front door.

Tonight I flew to Long Beach, in preparation for Los Angeles business matters Thursday and Friday. It was 70something degrees when I left Dallas. It was 55 degrees when I landed in Long Beach at 8:30 p.m. We're in that curious time which happens in Spring and a part of Fall when Dallas weather is arguably actually somewhat nicer than LA weather.

I'm ready to get up at 5 in the morning, drive the freeways, see the mountains, and then sit in conference rooms being productive.
