Sunday serenity

Sunday dinner at a Steak and Ale (they *still* play theme from St. Elmo's Fire in the background, just as in 1982), followed by a luxuriant rainy-day Dallas Arboretum visit with friends--the garden to ourselves, the flowers "popping" amid the somber storm clouds, squirrels and jays, alyssium, jonquil, holland and species tulips, all like some dream of heaven, and my eyelids aren't even
flickering....as we ride the bus to the parking lot, the storm BREAKS(!), the floodgates of heaven loose the grace of rain upon us, and the day is completely perfect, post-noah-flood and all....
