We celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary today. I have been married about 46% of my life. Over Christmas, we visited the Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kansas. That is the church in which we got married. The floral theme in the sanctuary on our wedding day, as I recall, involved lots of greenery. I remember how green the lawns were on a warm, rainy day. If we were doing it over, I'd give a better rehearsal dinner speech.

Saturday evening we go to a restaurant in Plano called Seasons 52 to celebrate. Then perhaps we'll see a movie. We'll be thankful for good health and good times, and then we'll get a good night's sleep before the next year of marriage begins.

Belated anniversary wishes! How lovely that you went back to the church where you got married. Whenever I go home to Indiana, I make sure to stop in the university chapel where my wedding was held. Actually, I need to do that again soon. It feels important.
