Today is poetbear's birthday. He would be 70, had he not passed away in March. He was a good fellow--I got to meet him during a trip to Arizona, years ago. Even then he seemed a bit frail to me, and as if his life had had it challenges. But he did not complain. He just kept on going.I think that sometimes in life it's easy to forget how indispensable simple human kindness and friendliness can be--until a fellow like Paul passes on, and the world is just a bit colder in his absence.
