It always sounds condescending to be "proud" of someone on one's friends' list, but I'll risk that sad appellation here.
You have really made impressive, positive strides to take a career path that was once a bit strewn by the wayside and get yourself firmly back on the path. You're back on your own terms, more or less, which is ideal.
I was glad when you sat and passed the bar, which a lot of people would not have been able to easily do, given some of the challenges of the past. I think it's great that you've pursued the entry steps into the career so well, and are now originating clients and helping people. I think that you have your heart in the rigth place as to wanting to be of service to folks.
I like that, like me, you are from more-or-less rural Arkansas. You "escaped" to the city for a while, and yet, in so many ways, I think that one never truly escapes the locale of one's childhood. My own instinct, by the way, was that I never wanted to leave Arkansas, and thus, of course, I did.
I like your stories about young Breezy, who sounds like a cool dog. I like that you're puzzling out the minefields which are personal and family relationships. I like that you have a good idea of who you want to be, and now it's just living through the times that get you there.
I like the sense I get that you are growing and changing, without losing your sense of self.
