I don't feel as if I know you very well at all. I like the way that in weblogs we often learn what we know in tiny increments, one small step at a time.

I like that you're a keen observer. I think that you see a lot of things around you, and yet you don't make everything into needless melodrama ("needful melodrama"? well, maybe it's an outside possibility. but never the needless kind).

I like that you seem to appreciate the good things about living in Texas as well as the less than perfect things.
I like that you're in an academic setting--I've always got an interest in the ivy towers. I like to read your take on political/social things, and I like the way you're down-to-earth but well-read., which should always go together, in my opinino, but aft gang agley, or some such.

I like the sense that I'll learn more as I read, and yet your journal is not some cipher-festival,but a weblog about a real person.
