I've got a messy desk and days go by without my doing much about it. That epitomizes my attitude towards necessary chores: o woe is me, I hate chores, I don't like them, they'll just have to be done again and nothing good will come of it, etc. Just whining, because a) they need doing and b) I do feel better when they're done.

So our attitudes and clutter are different but your post still helped. :)
