I had a day full of calls and meetings. At lunch I walked in little Travis Farm Park in Murphy.  The Travis farm is now a huge home subdivision.
Its little community park is named for this farm family. I saw a video in which one of the Travis daughters expressed how pleased her father would be that their farm was now built up.

The park is just a large field with a few trees, a picnic shelter and some playground equipment. I like to stop there to watch birds and walk. Today the tall, bare tree had an American Kestrel on it. I saw Western Kingbirds, Barn Swallows and two Blue Jays. Then I went to Subway, where I ate a turkey sandwich and baked chips.

After work, I walked in Crowley Park in Richardson. I liked the two Mississippi Kites atop the bare trees. A Blue Jay tried to chase off one. The kite turned and "said" something quietly, and the Blue Jay stopped.

My wife made a grand ginger Thai chicken dish tonight. I am waiting for diet root beers to chill.

The Plano Williams Chicken outlet went out of business. Williams Chicken is hands down the best chicken in the metroplex.   But folks in Plano do not understand about chicken the way folks in Garland understand about chicken.
