Thursday, Friday and Saturday passed quickly.

I could put them in list format as a rainstorm, a huge bowl of caldo con pollo at the restaurant Gloria's, an enjoyable evening with the odd movie "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" (a movie in a genre I usually do not enjoy but did in this instance), an early morning walk on the Watters Branch trail featuring a lovely Bobcat encounter, a dinner of teriyaki chicken at Tokyo Joe's, attendance at my wife's company picnic in a 10-acre park in the suburb Addison--one 5-year-old boy won my heart by dancing to every tune the DJ played despite any discernible skills at dancing, a visit to the Cavanagh Flight Museum in Addison to look at historic planes, a good bit of work, some warm weather, cups of breakfast cereal with skim milk, an old-fashioned grilled smoked turkey sandwich from Market Street, a good number of work issues and projects and lots of quality time with the best little dog on the planet.

We capped tonight off with a trip to the Moviehouse Eatery for a showing of the live action "Beauty and the Beast". We both liked it very much. It made me want to revisit the fully-animated version for comparison. My wife accompanied her viewing with a root beer float. I accompanied mine with the elegantly-named Big Moviehouse Pickle. It reminded me of pickles from the small-town B-movie Hoo Hoo Theater of my childhood in south Arkansas, where huge and very dill movie pickles were sold from a pickle barrel for a dollar a pickle--more pickle than a pickle-holic could unpickle.
